Basic Raw Chocolate

Use this recipe anywhere that calls
for chocolate!
1/2 cup cacao butter (melted over a low heat)
1/2 cup cacao powder
3 Tbsp liquid sweetener of choice (coconut
nectar, honey, maple, stevia etc)

Mix the cacao powder and cacao butter
together with a whisk in a small bowl until
no lumps remain. Add the sweetener and
work quickly so it doesn’t separate. Pour the
chocolate mixture immediately into chocolate
moulds or a baking paper lined baking pan.

You can add all sorts of yummy additions to
this some of my favourites include:
– Goji berries
– Dried cranberries
– Cashews and other nuts or seeds
– Cinnamon or ginger
– Sea salt
– Chia seeds
The opportunities are endless and delicious!

 

Salt and Pepper Crackers

2 cups ground almonds
1 egg
1/2 tsp sea salt
Fresh cracked pepper

Preheat your oven to 200C
Place all the ingredients into a food processor
and combine until the mixture begins to
combine into a ball. (Alternatively you can
omit the salt and pepper and sprinkle onto the
crackers instead)
Place the mixture between two sheets of baking
paper and use a rolling pin to roll out the
mixture to desired thickness. Use a knife to cut
into small squares and then bake for about 10-15
minutes or until just beginning to brown.
Experiment with your favourite herbs or add
garlic powder and sundried tomato for an extra
special taste.
