Red Pepper Spread is delicious served with assorted fresh breads, pita bread and other dips for pre-dinner snacks.

2 tsps Gelatine (use Agar Flakes if Vegan)
1 1/2 Cups Hot Water
3/4 Cups Raw Cashew Pieces
2 Tbsps Sesame Seeds
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder (or crushed garlic)
3 Tbsps Lemon Juice
2 tsps Onion Stock
1/4 Cup Yeast Flakes
1/2 Cup Fried or Baked Capsicums
1. Dissolve the gelatine in the hot water and then leave to cool.
2. Combine all the remaining ingredients into a food processor and blend together.
3. Slowly add the cooled water and gelatine mixture whilst the food processor is still blending.
4. Pour into a small flat container and leave to cool overnight. Or otherwise pour the spread into a muffin tray (silicon ones are good for this) and place in the freezer. Then defrost and use just a small amount as you need it.
