Gluten
Intolerant? Bin
Inn tries to make life easier for customers who have an intolerance to
gluten by stocking an extensive range of gluten free products and baking
ingredients. Coeliac sufferers need to follow a gluten free diet which
involves eliminating foods that contain wheat, rye, barley and sometimes
oats. Coeliac Disease is a condition where the lining of the small intestine
is damaged due to sensitivity to a protein in food, called Gluten. It
is estimated that one in 100 New Zealanders suffers from Coeliac Disease.
The gluten free range available from many Bin Inn stores is growing all
the time. Bin Inn stores have an extensive range of gluten free foods
including Orgran, Freedom Foods, Naturally Good, Nature's Path and Baking
Made Easy gluten free mixes. See page 7 for a delicious recipe for Gluten
Free Chocolate Brownies.
