While flour is primarily used in baking, try out these surprising ways of using flour!

Repel Ants - apparently ants don't like the taste or feel of powdery flour, so if you notice ants around the house, simply sprinkle a line of flour close to the area.

Making Gloop - flour can be loads of fun for the kids! Embrace 'messy play' by making gloop - a substance which kids enjoy molding to whatever shape they want. Slowly add one cup of cold water to two cups of cornflour in a bowl. Stir until the water is absorbed by the cornflour.

Shine Stainless Steel - after cleaning your stainless steel appliances you can really make them sparkle by adding a little bit of flour.  Simply sprinkle a little bit of flour onto a clean, dry cloth and buff your stainless steel to a great shine.
