Birdseed Crackers

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup cornmeal flour
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seeds
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground chili
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 cup boiling water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix the flour, seeds, and nuts in a bowl.
  2. Add the olive oil and boiling water, mixing well (it will be very liquid).
  3. Spread the mixture onto baking paper and flatten it into a thin layer. Be sure the mixture isn’t too thick, as it won’t bake through properly.
  4. Bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and cooked through. Allow it to cool in the oven with the door slightly open.
  5. Let the crackers cool completely on a wire rack, then break them into pieces.
